Da Nhat Yen's New CD Da Nhat Yen in pensive mood DNY up close wearing white Lang Thang Duoi Mua costume Mua He Ruc Ro cool hair pic Da Nhat Yen -- The Greatest Vietnamese Singer Of All Time, looking Great in Green Her real name is Elyzabeth Vũ.  Her stage name is Dạ Nhật Yến (“Day and Night Canary) and in my humble opinion she’s the greatest Vietnamese singer of all time.  Though born in Việt Nam in the late 1970s, she came to the USA as a little girl, and has lived in California since then.  She first appeared in 1997 on the Trường Thanh Quê Mẹ va Tuyệt Phẩm Tình Yêu 4 video, but quickly switched to Làng Văn Productions where she enjoyed a three year run and produced several great CDs of Vietnamese and English language songs.  She really came into her own in 2001, though, when she signed on with ASIA Entertainment -- where she quickly captured the hearts of young and old alike with her energetic and upbeat performances, sweet smile and down-to-earth openness and approachability.  Equally at home in Vietnamese and English and just as good a dancer as she is a singer, Dạ Nhật Yến has become one of the overseas Vietnamese world’s brightest stars, without losing her head or growing aloof from her fans and friends all over the globe.
